My two robot series were inspired by a trip to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry a number of years ago. I saw a collection of Japanese toy robots from the 40s and 50s that I fell in love with. The curator graciously allowed me to take reference photos.  I took hundreds of reference photos that day and below are the two series that were inspired by those toy robots.
